ABS TECHNOLOGY

Commited to saving natural smiles

Septodont's proprietary Active BioSilicate (ABS) Technology™ platform is founded on our vision of saving every tooth. The result of 10+ years of research, innovation, and clinical collaboration, the technology has led to the creation of groundbreaking restorative materials and endodontic sealers. Giving practitioners the power to repair and regenerate the dentin-pulp complex and achieve an outstanding root canal seal, these products have preserved millions of natural teeth worldwide.

ABS enhanced

From drilling and filling to repair and regeneration

As the dental industry moves away from the traditional "drill and fill" approach, the focus in now shifting towards tooth preservation and regeneration. Septodont's ABS Technology™ gives practitioners the tools to embrace these changes, paving the way for the growing trend of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID).

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Revolutionary products powered by ABS Technology™

Biodentine™ is both a pulp therapeutic and a restorative material in a single product. This new class of bioactive dentin substitutes offers favorable tissue interactions like pulp healing and dentin bridge formation, as well as fast setting, high mechanical strength and dimensional stability. It has become the gold standard for restoring deep cavities from the pulp to the tooth surface.

Biodentine™ XP

Bidentine™ XP is an advanced dentin substitute that delivers the therapeutic benefits of Biodentine in a pre-dosed, ready-to-mix capsule format. The mixer delivers the perfect consistency, while the dispensing gun allows for easy application directly into the cavity. It is the ideal partner for the Bio-Bulk Fill procedure, a time-saving technique in which BiodentineTM XP can be used to fill deep carious lesions in a single visit.

BioRoot™ Flow

BioRoot™ Flow in a next-generation bioactive root canal sealer that offers excellent clinical outcomes in both cold and warm obturation techniques. Presented in a ready-to-use syringe, the material can be delivered directly into the canals, where it demonstrates powerful adhesion and an outstanding hermetic seal.

ABS Technology™ is a unique and promising technology platform that continues to go from strength to strength. Today, as our portfolio of bioactive solutions grows, we look forward to realizing the enormous potential of ABS Technology™ as an innovative and reliable companion in the evolution of dentistry.

Gilles Richard,SR. Director of R&D

“ It took 12 years to take the idea from a research consortium to the lab bench, to the factory and, finally, to the dental chair. By designing a new, purpose-built production setting that gives us full control over the manufacturing process from start to finish, we have been able to synthesize ultra-pure tricalcium silicate at an industrial scale while meeting the quality grade required of medical devices. ”

CLINICAL PERFORMANCE

Taking dentistry to the next level with ABS Technology™

The quest for the ideal restorative material has created a dynamic interplay between and clinical practice, with a number of bioactive materials introduced to the market in recent years. In this context, Septodont's ABS Technology™ has led the evolution of restorative dentistry with innovative materials like Biodentine™ and BioRoot™.

Dr. Amre Atmeh,Associate Professor in Endodontics

“ With ABS Technology™, Septodont has brought dental practitioners closer to the ideal materials we require in our clinics. Alongside its role as a coronal restorative material, Biodentine™ adds a therapeutic aspect to restorations by interacting favorably with the dental and pulpal tissues. BioRoot™ root canal sealer demonstrates the same combination of therapeutic properties mediated through the release of calcium hydroxide. ”
